The Medicine Hat Tigers enter a three-game week against Eastern conference opponents.

The Tigers enter the week off a 6-3 win Friday at Moose Jaw over the Warriors, a bounce-back from an 8-1 loss to the Prince George Cougars on Oct. 16.

They had five skaters register two-point nights, with forwards Oasiz Wiesblatt, Mat Ward Andrew Basha, Gavin McKenna and defenceman Nate Corbet tallying the points. It was Wiesblatt who scored the game winner, part of a three-goal third period.

Harrison Meneghin made 10 saves and the Tigers outshot the Warriors 42-13.

The Tigers head into the week in seventh place in the Eastern conference with a 5-5 record.

Medicine Hat hosts the Calgary Hitmen (4-4-1) on Wednesday before they head to Red Deer on Friday for the fifth matchup against the Rebels (6-4-1) in the young season. They finish the weekend against Regina, hosting the Pats (5-4-1) on Saturday as part of a Tigers fight cancer night at Co-op Place.

The Tigers will don special lavender jerseys for the game, as will Regina when the Pats host Medicine Hat on Nov. 1. The Tigers’ jerseys will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to the Medicine Hat Health Foundation for the Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre.

The auction will run from Oct. 26-29.
