Alberta Grains hosting six meetings across province, Oct. 28 in Medicine Hat

Wheat and barley producer meetings are set to kick off in Medicine Hat later this month, their industry association announced Thursday.

Alberta Grains will host growers in Region 1 at the Medicine Hat Lodge on Oct. 28 as the first of six meetings throughout the province this autumn.

The agenda for the meeting that ends after lunch includes organizational and research updates along with agronomy presentations.

Meetings follow in Airdrie on Oct. 30, and Red Deer, while northern Alberta region meetings will be held in concert with the Alberta Pulse Producers Association.

This year, Region 1 will see one director and two delegates elected at the group’s annual general meeting on Nov. 27 in Banff. Nominations were due Oct. 15.
