@MedicineHatNews An overdue hunter whose boat hit a sandbar on the Red Deer River was found safe at about 2 a.m. on Oct. 13 by the Jenner Fire Department. The Brooks RCMP previously reported the rescue but is now providing further details. The hunter was dropped off at the Dinosaur Park Boat Launch with agreement to meet a friend at the Jenner Campground for pickup at about 5 p.m. that day. When he failed to arrive, authorities were contacted and volunteer firefighters searched to the west of the pickup spot with a drone. Authorities remind all hunters, boaters and day trippers to make others aware of plans and timelines, especially as cooler weather approaches. Stolen farm truck Brooks RCMP are looking for a pickup taken from a farm near Tilley over the long weekend. Police say the 2006 white GMC Sierra truck, AB licence number 17P-340 contained two 200-litre plastic barrels in its bed. 7
