The annual antique and collectable show in Medicine Hat will turn 20 years old this weekend, while its younger sister, a Gun & Hobby show and sale that takes place concurrently will turn 15.

Organizer Tim Hittel says that more than 300 tables are registered to take part in the weekend event at the Cypress Centre Pavillion at the Medicine Hat Stampede grounds.

It’s become bigger and bigger each year, said Hittel who began the collectables and antique show – featuring an array of furniture, glassware, coins, jewelry and more – two decades ago, then added a show for sportsman five years later.

Modern and collectable rifles, scopes, rods and reloading equipment will be on offer from vendors from four provinces as well as an entry from Montana this year.

The event takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is $6, while those 12 and under enter for no charge.
