The Medicine Hat Drag Strip held the Southern Alberta’s Fastest Streetcar Shootout on Saturday.
The drag strip hosted six classes of races in its penultimate race of the season.
The day kicked off with the Junior Street class, won by Jackson Richter of Lethbridge. Draven Vander Woude, also of Lethbridge, finished second.
Raymond Hupper of Monarch, Alta. won the Daily Drvier class, finishing ahead of Lethbridge’s Matthew Laturnus.
Raiden Higa, also of Lethbridge, won the Klutch King class, with Tim Szabo of Edmonton coming in second place.
The Real Street class was won by David Burnett of Lethbridge. Kay Borhot of Calgary finished in second place.
Calgary’s Clayton Potter on the Pro Bike class, finished ahead of Medicine Hat’s Gerald Beatch.
The Main Car class finished off the night, won by Russ Flaman of Regina. Dennis Drummond of Crossfield, Alta. finished in second.
Due to previous cancellations with weather, the drag strip will run one final Friday Night Street Legals to wrap up the racing season. That final race is set for Friday starting at 7 p.m.
