Canadian olympic skateboarder paying visit to the Hat on Friday

The Medicine Hat Skateboard Association will be hosting Canadian olympic athlete Cordano Russell during his visit to the city this Friday.

Twenty-year-old Russel recently took part in the 2024 Paris Olympics, in which he placed seventh in the semifinals for men’s street skateboarding, and was recently featured in Thrasher magazine.

During his visit, there will be a free barbecue at Kinsmen Skate Park from 6-8 p.m. The community is invited to attend this event and witness Russel in action, as he will be skateboarding with the local skateboard crew.
