REV. DIANE VIVIAN OLSEN ECKART BEACH May 21, 1941 August 21, 2024
Rev. Diane Beach was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan on May 21, 1941, to Eugene & Edith Eckart. Diane passed away August 21, 2024, after a very brief illness. Diane was predeceased by her husband Hilton George on December 17, 2023. Diane leaves to cherish her memory by her children, David (Brenda) Beach and their children Jenna (Chance) Burgess of Calgary, AB, Ian Beach (Kimberly Beeman) of Vancouver, BC – Darren (Tracy Sterling) and his children Kolbi Beach (Madison Andrus) of Medicine Hat and Reid Beach of Edmonton, AB – Lyndell Beach and her children Ryan Schibler (Ashley McDougall) of Medicine Hat, AB and Jennifer Schibler (Dustin Schulte) and their children Charley & Haley Schulte of Leduc, AB, and Trevor Beach of Lyon, France and his children Erik Beach (Clara Callon) of Calgary, AB and Katelin Beach of Calgary, AB.
Diane attended school in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan involving herself in her studies as well as many sports. She played basketball and curled during her school years, she also enjoyed golfing, waterskiing, skating and tried skateboarding with her kids.
Diane met Hilton in 1959, and they married in 1961, during these years she also received her nursing degree in 1965 while working at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. She worked in OR, ER, pediatrics and was the driving force behind the set-up of the day surgery department. All of this was accomplished while raising four active children.
In 1989 Diane had made a decision of answering the call to the ministry and by 1990 had moved to Vancouver, BC to attend the Vancouver School of Theology full time.
Diane had placements in Red Deer and Medicine Hat, AB but was also active in many neighbouring communities.
Diane spent many an hour being involved in attending sport activities whether it be her children or grandchildren.
Diane was actively involved in quilting, Prairie Gleaners, and many functions held at Riverside Presbyterian Church and St Johns Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024, 1:00 pm at St John’s Presbyterian Church with Bob Cruickshank officiating.

VICKI LYNN THOME

VICKI LYNN THOME May 19th, 1953 August 21st, 2024 Vicki leaves to remember her, her husband of 39 years, Clarence; daughter, Cora-lee Gray (Darcey); son, Jason Ritchey (Suzanne Daly); grandchildren, Justin Ritchey, Samantha McKay (Carter Langlois), Andrew Daly, Becca Beaulieu, Amy Beaulieu; great grandchildren, Desiray Dunne, Teagan Langlois, Oakley Langlois, Kylie Beaulieu and Brodie Chungranes; sister, Diane Braun (Dennis) and their three children and many good friends.
Vicki was a grateful person who appreciated the simple things in life; she loved to go for long walks, she enjoyed good movies and books, she appreciated live music and went to many concerts and festivals. She liked camping with friends, cooking special holiday meals, baking, good jokes and riddles. She loved to “treasure hunt” wherever she could. Vicki loved animals and had a special place in her heart for the less fortunate. She passed away from complications due to brain surgery.
The Celebration of Life will be held on August 30th, 2024, at Seventh Day Adventist Church basement (1933 Dunmore Rd) from 11:00am 3:00pm. Please dress comfortably and come as you are.
