Niall Weich (1) won the men’s singles championship, defeating Calvin Heller (2) (6-3, 6-4). Mike Fentabil won the consolation, defeating Nick Douvis (6-1, 1-1 retired). Lauren Danroth (1) won the women’s singles championship, defeating Tracy Heller (4-6, 6-4, 7-6). The consolation title was won by Linda Norris, who beat CoraLee Riehl (7-5, 6-0). The men’s intermediate singles championship was won by David Schnare, who defeated Chris Wandler (6-2, 6-1). Grant Bradley won the intermediate singles consolation, defeating Lincoln Bensler (6-0, 2-6, 6-4). Craig and Niall Weich (1) won the men’s doubles championship, defeating Brent and Richard Meyer (2) (6-4, 6-3). Kerry McDowell and Chris Friesen won the consolation, defeating Nick and Spiro Douvis (6-4, 4-6, 6-3). The women’s doubles championship was won by Lauren Danroth and Tracy Heller (1), they beat Linda Norris and CoraLee Riehl (2) (6-2, 6-1). Carla Thorogood and Pam Douville won the consolation, defeating Doris Deminick and Margaret Klok (6-3, 7-6). The next event at the club is the Medicine Hat open mixed doubles tournament, Sept. 5-7. 12
