Sask NDP candidate chosen for Cypress Hills riding ahead of late October election

Clare McNab has been named the Saskatchewan New Democrat candidate for Cypress Hills.

The retired nurse and federal corrections manager who lives in Maple Creek was nominated at a party meeting, according to a release from the party.

The riding is currently represented by Saskatchewan Party MLA Doug Steele, who plans to contest the upcoming election that is set to be held on Oct. 28.

Cypress Hills constituency extends from the Montana border to just south of Kindersley, and from the Alberta boundary to the Swift Current limits, and includes Gull Lake and Shaunavon.

The Sask NDP plans to determine a candidate for the riding of Swift Current on Aug. 26.
