SHIRLEY MOSS
August 15, 1935 ~ May 12, 2024
Mrs. Shirley Dawn Moss, beloved wife of the late Mr. Ralph Moss, passed away peacefully in Medicine Hat on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the age of 88 years. Shirley was born in Upsalquitch, NB and attended the United Baptist Bible Training School in Moncton followed by the Jeffrey Hales Hospital School of Nursing in Quebec City. It was there that she met Ralph, the love of her life and in 1958, they were married in Hartland, NB. Shirley loved being a nurse and was a mentor and encourager to many who expressed interest in a nursing career. She worked at South Country Village for almost 30 years, first as a staff nurse and then as the Director of Nursing. Following retirement, Shirley continued her service there as a board member. She was a faithful follower of Jesus and a member of Temple Baptist Church. Shirley loved traveling, gardening, meeting new people and spending time with her family. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Shirley’s memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of her family: son, Robert (Karin) Moss; daughter, Margaret (Scott) Hennes; grandchildren, Megan Hennes, Lauren (Peter) Gil, Ethan (Emily) Hennes; great-grandsons, Moss and Owen; sisters, Ardith (Wayne) McLaughlin and Phyllis (Charles) Connell; sister-in-law, Ilse Fenwick as well as numerous nieces and nephews that she enjoyed keeping in touch with. She was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Stucki; brother, Murray Fenwick and brother-in-law, Arthur Stucki. A Memorial Service honouring Shirley’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ed Lehman officiating. A time of fellowship will follow immediately thereafter in the Cook Southland Reception Facility. Shirley’s Memorial Celebration will be live streamed. JERRY ZEZULKA August 6, 1947 ~ July 15, 2024
On July 15th in Medicine Hat after a sudden illness, Jerry Zezulka passed away at the age of 76. He is survived by his loving wife Paulette Both, daughters Jennifer (Hugh Lehr) and Leanne (Shaun Calderwood) and their families. WILLIAM “BILLY” JAYSON BRUCE March 6th, 1974 – July 13th, 2024
Billy Bruce passed away on July 13th, 2024, at the age of 50 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Adair Prouty; brother, Chad (Sherry); Billy’s big brother, Kerry Lyons. Billy is predeceased by his father, Bill Bruce Sr.; sister, Bonnie; stepfather, Vern Prouty.
Billy had a passion for welding and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

DONALD STEWART
DONALD STEWART 1933 – 2024
Donald Kenneth Jack Stewart of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the age of 90 years, beloved husband of the late Irene Strewart. He leaves to cherish his memory two children Lynn (Scott) Werre of Redcliff and Dean Stewart (Anita LeBlanch) of Medicine Hat; two grandchildren DeAndra (Nick) Zeller and Ryan (Sarah) Werre; four great grandchildren Austyn, Ezekiel, Walker J and Mavrick as well as his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Irene on May 31, 2023; by his mother Christine Damm and one sister Cleo Bozsaki. Don was born on November 12, 1933, at Unger, Saskatchewan. On June 28, 1958, he married Irene Karikas in Regina where they resided until moving to Medicine Hat in 1976. In 1995, Don retired from CFB Suffield where he was a Foreman with the Civil Servants. While in retirement, he took every opportunity to be involved in his grandchildrens wide range of extra curricular activities. This meant he spent time in hockey rinks, baseball fields, on the golf course, in the gym and in the riding arena. He was well known in Southern Alberta in the rinks as he loved to chat with everyone. Don was very patriotic and loved anything and everyone Canadian. He was a collector of model trains, coins and military badges. He also liked to entertain with a good magic card trick. He will be greatly missed. A casual graveside service will take place at Hillside Cemetery on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant Pat Grisonich officiating.
