Train station AHS services moving to Melcor Centre

By Lethbridge Herald on July 9, 2024.

All Alberta Heath Services teams and programs working at the train station location will be moving to the Melcor Centre on July 22, pending the completion of renovations.
AHS says the move will consolidate all public health programs in her one location, “providing clients with convenient access to multidisciplinary healthcare teams and resources.”
The last day for appointments at the train station will be July 19 with programs and services expected to be operating at full capacity on July 25, said AHS in a Monday news release.
“During this transition, public health appointments will be limited. Impacted clients with an appointment booked between July 19 and 24 will be contacted directly by public health staff. Following the move, patients will be automatically booked for appointments at Melcor Centre,” says AHS.
Appointments can be booked 90 days in advance, says AHS. Those already with appointments scheduled for August should go to the Melcor Centre which is located at 200 4 Ave. S., it says.
Health programs offered include “pre- and post-natal supports, immunization, population and public health program, pre-school/school oral health services, public health nursing, sexual and reproductive health, environmental public health, comprehensive school health and public health nutrition,” says AHS.
