Creativity and artwork-themed block party returns Saturday

news@medicinehatnews.com Continuing a series of outdoor block parties at Towne Square, the city is hosting its fourth consecutive free weekly event themed around artists and creative minds. Celebrating Art & Creativity will be the theme for Saturday’s block party that provides the community free activities, games and entertainment as the city continues its work to extend programming downtown. The block party runs from noon to 4 p.m. and will include free family activities as well as food trucks. Previous events have celebrated nature, Indigeneity and childhood. Next week the city will take a break from hosting block parties for the annual Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Collective Chili Cook-Off. The following Saturday, July 20, the city will host a block party celebrating sport and movement before heading into another break for the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede. 7-6
