news@medicinehatnews.com Grade 10 students planning on attending Medicine Hat High School, Crescent Heights High School and The Hub are invited to attend a free barbecue to kick off summer before classes resume in the fall. The barbecue is hosted by members of the Launch Student Careers team who will be on hand to provide information about a one-credit course that is offered to help students prepare for future work experience opportunities, internships and apprenticeships. Students attending the free event can learn about HCS 3000 and explore dual credit opportunities provided through the Medicine Hat Public School Division while enjoying free burgers, chips and drinks. The free barbecue lunch will be served Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the HUB at Medicine Hat High School. However, students are welcome to drop in anytime from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to receive information and sign up for HCS 3000 and other relevant courses.
