Man facing several charges after alleged assault of a store clerk

@MedicineHatNews Police have arrested a man they say assaulted a store clerk during a holdup on Saturday afternoon. Medicine Hat police responded to the business on the 1500 block of Dunmore Road at about 3 p.m. on June 29. Authorities say the investigation led to a nearby apartment complex where the suspect refused to leave before a warrant was issued and the man arrested. Kyle Neapetung, 36, is in custody charged with robbery, assault with a weapon and possessing a dangerous weapon in public. He is scheduled to make his first appearance in Alberta Court of Justice on Wednesday. 7-6
