DENVER – Winnipeg Jets coach Rick Bowness says defenceman Brenden Dillon is “day to day” after suffering a hand injury in Game 3 against the Colorado Avalanche. Bowness says team doctors did a “fantastic job” of stitching him up, adding there was no significant damage. Dillon appeared to suffer a deep cut to his left hand from a skate blade during a melee at the end of the Jets’ 6-2 loss Friday at Ball Arena. Bowness did not have details on how many stitches were required. He has yet to finalize lineup plans for Game 4 on Sunday afternoon. The Avalanche have a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series, which will return to Winnipeg for Game 5 on Tuesday. This report by The Canadian Press was first published April 27, 2024. 8
