City development incentives to launch Monday

The two incentives launching this year are planned to leverage the city’s existing land and infrastructure for additional high-density housing, in order to enhance the livability of the city centre area. The aim is to encourage new development, create jobs, and support targeted economic growth by incentivizing investment in the local community. The two incentives are the City Centre Vibrancy Incentive and the Housing Infill and Redevelopment Incentive. “Medicine Hat Economic Development is thrilled to announce the launch of two development incentives for this year, aimed at boosting community investment,” director Selena McLean-Moore said in a release. “By offering these incentives, we aim to not only generate jobs but also to foster diversified housing development, preparing our community for future investment opportunities.” Information on guidelines, as well as how to apply, are available on the city website. 7-6
