@MedicineHatNews Mounties in Gleichen say a new patrol system stopped two weapons incidents in progress – including one involving a machete – over the last two months. The detachment in the town west of Bassano reported that a man was taken into custody on March 26 after officers saw him waiving a large blade weapon and yelling in front of a grocery store on Main Street. Teddy Lyndon Yellowfly, 34, of Siksika, is being held ahead of an April 11 court date charged with possessing a dangerous weapon. In February, officers say a man exited a liquor store without paying for a bottle of vodka, then pulled a knife on an employee who followed him. Justin Brett Decoux, 32, of Lloydminster, was arrested and held on charges of robbery, making threats and possession of a weapon and narcotics. He is set to appear in Alberta Court of Justice at Cochrane on April 9. 8
