There are no local firms listed in court creditors action filed by the Body Shop last week as it closes 33 locations in Canada, including one at the Medicine Hat Mall.

Other landlords are on an initial list of companies submitted to Ontario Court of money owed by the firm that sells beauty products and announced restructuring on March 1.

The company owes about $16.4 million in secured debt to investors and about $3.3 million in unsecured debt to suppliers, landlords and other firms.

Medicine Hat Mall owner, Primaris REIT, is not noted for amounts owed to the local outlet, but nine divisions do appear related to locations in Canada.

Amounts of about $10,000 are owed to each to a number of other landlords in Alberta, including Park Place Mall in Lethbridge and $55,000 to West Edmonton Mall.
Five Alberta locations are closing, including Medicine Hat, Lethbridge, Lloydminster, Sunridge Mall in Calgary and Londonderry Mall in Edmonton.

Three other locations are in Saskatoon or Regina.
