U13 Wildcats win South championship

The Medicine Hat U13B Wildcats picked up a championship banner the weekend.

The U13 girls team won the South Conference with a 4-4 tie Sunday with the Okotoks Oilers. They will advance to compete for the league championship.

The Wildcats battled back in the third period with four unanswered goals in the last eight minutes. They beat Okotoks 2-1 the day prior. Kiya Britton, Eilidh Dunn, Brielle Kambach and Jovi Ireland each scored in the game Sunday, with Ireland tallying the game winner.
