The Medicine Hat Interpretive Centre invites residents to come and get to know the most common wildlife neighbour a little better with the ‘Deer Oh Deer’ nature walk. During the walk, participants will learn more about the types of deer, their lifecycle, diet, behaviour as well as how responsibly interacting with the animals that share the city is a benefit to both humans and the environment. The walk will leave the Nature Centre in Police Point Park at 10 a.m. and conclude around 11 a.m. on Feb. 22. Photography is permitted, and everyone is encouraged to wear sturdy outdoor footwear as the route will go off-trail. The event is free to attend but does have limited space available. Participants are encouraged to call the Nature Line to register at 403-529-6225. 5
