Division Avenue N. traffic will reroute today for power pole replacement

@MedicineHatNews Traffic on Division Avenue N. will be reduced Thursday as city utility crews replace two power poles near the intersection with Eighth Street. Through traffic should continue to flow at the junction at the top of Altawana Drive, but lanes will be reduced and flag persons will be on site. Turns on to Eighth Street NE will be blocked however, and motorists will be routed to the block via Ninth Street, then First Avenue. Work is expected to be completed in one day. Police Point rig work Police point park will be closed to foot traffic Feb. 12 as a service rig is brought in to perform maintenance on a city gas well. The work is expected to be complete in two days, but requires a wide barrier from the public. Residents along Police Point Drive will notice an increase in traffic and heavy equipment moving in and out of the area, according to a city release. 9-8
