Twist and Flips Gymnastics competes in Lethbridge

Medicine Hat’s Twist and Flip Gymnastics club members showcased their talents in Lethbridge over the weekend.

The local club sent five female athletes to the 2024 Battle at the Bridge hosted by West Wind Gymnastics Club in Lethbridge on Jan. 20.

In total, Twist and Flip Gymnastics came home with 10 medals and 15 ribbons.

Provincial Level 2 athletes were seven-year-olds Brooke Moreton and Arianna Mori.

Mori finished first all-around and placed first on beam and floor, second on vault and third on uneven bars.

Moreton finished fifth all-around and placed first on uneven bars, fourth on floor, fifth on beam and eighth on vault.

Eight-year-old Myla Aberle was Twist and Flip’s only provincial Level 3 athlete.

Aberle finished fifth all-around and placed second on beam, fifth on floor, sixth on uneven bars and ninth on vault.

Provincial Level 4 athletes were 10-year-olds Tenley Aberle and Lauren Pancoast.

Pancoast finished third all-around and placed second on uneven bars, fourth on beam, fifth on vault and sixth on floor.

Aberle finished sixth all-around with a second on floor, fourth on vault, fifth on beam and seventh on uneven bars.
