Nature Centre hosting indoor Trivia Night

By Medicine Hat News on January 19, 2024.

The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is hosting an evening of trivia for anyone over the age of 18 at the Nature Centre later this month.

The event aims to encourage people to come out to Police Point Park to learn about and enjoy nature during the winter months.

“I thought that having a trivia night indoors at the nature centre could kind of be best of both worlds,” says Rhys Mah Poy, park interpreter.

Participants will be given a sheet to fill out answers to multi-choice questions that will be presented on the big screen.

Questions will be centred around nature in general in southeastern Alberta and could include plants, animals and ecology but there will also be broader questions related to the county.

“Even if you aren’t a nature enthusiast, it’ll still be fun and you can learn something new,” says Mah Poy.

At the end of the night everyone will tally up their points and prizes will be awarded.

“We have a couple of birdhouses we’re going to give away, we have a few stuffies and a few donations from other companies that have partnered with us,” says Mah Poy.

Trivia night will take place in the Nature Centre theatre on Jan. 30 from 7-9 p.m. and you can pre-register by visiting the Nature Centre in person or by calling Rhys May Poh at 403-529-6225.

All necessary supplies will be provided. You can enter by making a donation.
