City council to meet on third Monday of January

medicinehatnews.com@Medicine Hat News City council will only meet once in January to manage the flow of business coming out of the Holiday Season. It will next convene Jan. 15 to take up business from committee meetings that begin again next week. Elected officials last met Dec. 18 for a council session, and would typically be scheduled to sit again on the day following New Year’s Day. That was the closest business day to the first Monday of the month, but would have had relatively little on the agenda. Instead council will meet on the third Monday this month and cancel a set meeting on the fourth Monday. Similarly, Cypress County council cancelled its first meeting of January, which was to be held Jan. 3, and will instead meet Jan. 16. Redcliff town council will convene Jan. 8, which is the council’s usual scheduled date. 9-8
