78-year-old senior from Magrath killed in Highway 3 collision west of Lethbridge

A man from Magrath was killed after his SUV crashed with a semi-truck on Highway 3, west of Lethbridge, at the junction with Highway 509.

The accident took place at 6:24 p.m. Wednesday, according to Coaldale RCMP, who believe the transport truck was struck from behind as it slowed to make a left-hand turn. The 78-year-old lone occupant of the SUV was declared dead at the scene while no one else was injured.
