The Great Disconnect, a film exploring the importance of community connections at the grassroots level, will be showing in the theatre of Medicine Hat Public Library today at 1 p.m.

A roundtable discussion will take place following the film, allowing community members to share ideas on building community connection with guest panelists. The film explores reasons and methods to establish connections and, thus, encourages dialogue about creating inclusive social spaces.

This is the first screening of the film, which is being hosted by Family and Community Support Services, the Digital Wellness Coalition, Students Association of Medicine Hat College and What Matters to Hatters.

First screening is today at 1 p.m. at Medicine Hat Public Library with seating on a first come, first served basis.

The next showing of the film will be at 7 p.m. on Dec. 14 at the Esplanade, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are free but seating must be reserved and can be accessed at tixx.ca.
