Both the men’s and women’s teams dropped their weekend slate of games against the Lethbridge Kodiaks. The Rattlers men lost a close bout Thursday, falling 95-94. They also lost 103-78 on Saturday. Kieran Isnor led the Rattlers in Thursday’s loss with 47 points. Jordan Biggar was the leader in Saturday’s loss, with 21 points and five rebounds. The women’s team also faced the Kodiaks, falling 83-64 on Thursday and 76-55 on Saturday. Brynn Bremner was the leader Thursday with 14 points. Jordyn Knight had 15 points and four rebounds on Saturday. The men (1-9) and women (0-10) are now off until January for the winter exam break. Volleyball The Rattlers men’s and women’s volleyball teams each lost their slate of games over the weekend against the Olds College Broncos. The men’s team lost both matches in five sets. Nathan Chernik led the way in Friday’s loss (25-21, 25-21, 22-25, 23-25, 15-8) with 18 kills for the Rattlers. Jordan McKee had 14 kills on Saturday (25-16, 21-25, 22-25, 25-17, 15-10) to lead MHC. The women’s team also dropped both games against the Broncos, falling in three sets Friday (28-26, 25-18, 25-21) and five sets on Saturday (22-25, 25-22, 25-23, 24-26, 15-13). Kadence Wiggins had 12 kills on Friday with Anica Haberstock also adding 11 of her own. Haberstock again led the way Saturday with 15 kills. The men (2-7) and women (0-9) are off until January for the winter exam break. Hockey The Rattlers women’s hockey team had two games against the SAIT Trojans this weekend, falling in both. They lost 6-1 on the road Saturday with Mya Girard scoring late in the third period to get MHC on the board. Hayley Whelen made 33 saves in the loss. The Rattlers were shut out 4-0 Sunday at home, with Whelen making 46 saves. MHC’s hockey team (0-13) is on the road Friday to face the Olds College Broncos. 19
