The men’s volleyball team won their lone contest Saturday, beating the University of Alberta-Augustana on the road in three straight sets (25-21, 25-23, 25-16). Jordan McKee had 17 kills in the win with Nathan Chernik and Sawyer Krebs adding six and five kills each, respectively. The Rattlers women’s volleyball team also faced off against the University of Alberta-Augustana, falling in three sets (25-18, 25-19, 25-11). Malea Kletzel and Anica Haberstock each had five kills in the loss. The men (2-5) and women (0-7) have two home games this weekend against Olds College, hosting the Broncos on Friday and Saturday. Basketball The Rattlers men’s and women’s basketball teams were in action, hosting the University of Alberta-Augustana at the Snake Pit on Saturday. The men’s team lost 95-88 with Kieran Isnor putting up 20 points, three rebounds and three assists. The women’s team also lost, falling 74-47. Breanna O’Conner led the offence with 12 points and two rebounds. The men (1-7) and women (0-8) face the Lethbridge College Kodiaks at home Thursday before they hit the road Saturday to face the Kodiaks. Hockey The Rattlers women’s hockey team had a two-game road set this weekend at Lakeland College against the Rustlers. They dropped both contests, falling 8-0 Friday and 9-2 Saturday. Hayley Whelen made 34 saves in Friday’s loss. Teigan McAuley and Kennedy King each scored in Saturday’s loss and Kinlee Fahselt made 32 saves. The Rattlers (0-11) have a home-and-home with the SAIT Trojans this weekend, facing them on the road Saturday and hosting them Sunday. 16
