The Mercury were on the road at Calgary taking on the North West Riot for a two-game set. In their first game, the Mercury started slow before coming up short and losing the game. Leighton Wright, Ryleigh Jackiw, Erika Want and Margot Kerr each scored. In the second game, the Mercury started strong before again coming up short. Wright scored twice and Want, Eden Schmunk and Jayna Allchurch each found the back of the net. The Mercury are in action next at the locally held Ed Horvath Tournament starting Dec. 1. U14 The U14 Mayhem travelled to High River and Okotoks on Saturday to play Foothills. In their first game, the Mayhem won 10-7 with Jacqueline LeBlanc between the pipes. Lacey Gibney scored three times and both Breanna Lanuk and Brea Butterfield scored twice. Kristen Want, Jillian Stodalka and Jordyn LeBlanc each added a solo marker. In the second game in Okotoks, Medicine Hat came away with their second win against Foothills, beating them 7-4. Sophia Smith was in net and Butterfield led the offence with four gaols. Onyka Funk, Berstad and Gibney each scored. The Mayhem are off until the Ed Horvath Tournament. U12 The U12B Gators took on the Indus Lightening on Sunday for two games at the Moose Rec Centre. In the first game, Danna Sawchuk was in goal and the Gators offensive play was highlighted in a 12-8 loss. Kassidy Etienne scored four times with Medicine Hat’s four other goals coming from Olivia Ulbricht, Annalise Robins, Brinley Cross and Ally Martin. The Gators dropped their second game 9-5. Evangeline Robins made her debut in net and their goals were scored by Ulbricht with a pair and Martin, Annabelle O’Reilly and Etienne each scoring a marker. The Gators’ next game action is this weekend when they head to Calgary to face South Calgary on Sunday. The U12C Royals were on a two-game road trip to Calgary this weekend. In their first game, the Royals tied South Calgary U12C-2 6-6. Haven Ward scored in the first minute of play and both Arika McDowall and Jorja Sadler scored twice. Katie-Lee Sehn scored her first of the season and Aleah Barretto made her goaltending debut. The Royals dropped their second game to South Calgary, falling 9-6. Sadler and McDowall scored twice and Sadie Sackman and Rhya Weinberger each scored as well. Honourable mention to the MH defence line which included affiliate player Zayda Dawson. Next action for the U12C is at the Ed Horvath Tournament. U10 The U10 Step 3 Gators displayed resilience and determination in the Lethbridge ringette tournament this weekend. While the first game against Lethbridge resulted in a loss, they rebounded with a 5-5 tie in the second game against Indus. Despite picking up a loss in the third game, they clinched their first win of the season in the fourth game, beating Indus 6-4. The weekend saw Sloan Loehndorf score goals, Brylee Dirk with four, Aphten Myram with two and Isabelle Perrault with one. Their next action is at the Ed Horvath Tournament. The U10 Step 1 Gators had their first tournament this past week in Lethbridge. After a fun weekend, they are in action next at the Ed Horvath tournament. 27
