Trio charged with assault after man hospitalized with serious injuries

Medicine Hat Police Service investigators say they were called after a disturbance on the 200 block of Second Street NE on Nov. 8 and located the man with “serious injuries.” The criminal investigation unit has charged Jeremiah James Alfonse Amero, 33, Isaiah Cole Wawia, 28, and Ryan Joseph Paskaluk, 26, with assault causing bodily harm. Amero and Wawia are also charged with breaching court-ordered conditions. The three were held in custody pending a first appearance at Alberta Court of Justice in Medicine Hat on an unspecified date. The injured man remained in hospital at the time of the police release on Nov. 11. 8-7
