AMAC Swim Club races at provincial series over weekend

Six Alberta Marlin Aquatic Club swimmers attended the Cascade Speed Meet, Provincial Series #1 in Calgary.

The AMAC swimmers were up against competitors ranging from the provincial to Olympic level.

Results are as follows:

Abigail Begin (15): Finished eighth in 50m Back, ninth In 100m IM, 17th in 100m Back, 22nd in 50m Free, 31st in 50m Fly and 34th in 100m Free.

Rowynn Biffart (15): Finished first in 200m Breast, second in 50m Fly, third in 50m Breast and 100m Breast (new 15 year-old youth recognition time), fourth in 100m Fly (new 15 and over champ time) and sixth in 100m Free.

Morgan Hobson (15) Finished 12th in 50m Breast, 17th in 200m Breast, 20th in 100m Breast, 35th in 50m Free, 37th in 100m Free and 42nd in 50m Fly.

Caen McWilliams (14): Finished third in 800m free (new 16 and over provincial time), fifth in 50m Back, sixth in 200m Back, seventh in 100m Back, 11th in 50m Free and 14th in 100m Free.

Lily McWilliams (12): Finished fourth in 200m Free (new 12 and under provincial champ and 13-14 provincial time), fourth in 400m Free, fifth in 200m Back (new 12 and under provincial champ and 13-14 provincial time), seventh in 200m IM, 10th in 50m Free and 13th in 100m Free for a 13-14 provincial time.

Masao Mori (12): Finished seventh in 400m Free and 12th in 200m IM.

Next up for AMAC swim club is the second Annual Comet Cup in Cochrane.
