Crews took advantage of warm weather this week to place large festive light displays on city hall though the wider yuletide themed light-standard displays won’t be up or turned on until later this month.
A look at upcoming events in Medicine Hat:
– The Medicine Hat Stampede will host the 26th annual Christmas Farmer’s market this weekend at the Cypress Centre. It got underway Friday and continues from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday for country-themed Christmas shopping.
– The Olde Tyme Christmas event at Heritage Village on the exhibition grounds is set for the evening of Dec. 7.
– Downtown merchants also plan to stage the annual Midnight Madness pre-Christmas evening event on Friday, Nov. 17 throughout the city centre.
– Concerts this week feature MacKenzie Porter for two nights at the Esplanade Theatre on Tuesday and Wednesday night.
– Swift Current’s the Hunter Brothers are at the Esplanade for Friday and Saturday shows, weekend shows and Tom Cochrane is at Co-op Place on Nov. 10 with guests Trooper.
