Hatters wanting to get out and about during winter months can take part in a new workshop.

The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is hosting a series of nature-themed embroidery workshops, starting with Stitch Along-Beginner Beaver-Embroidery 101.

The workshop runs Sunday from 1-3 p.m and is for beginners or people who have little to no knowledge of embroidery.

This workshop is to be part of a series of beginner, intermediate and advanced classes with Level 1 making a beginner beaver, Level 2 an intermediate imperial moth and Level 3 an advanced avocet.

All supplies will be provided and at the end of the class participants will be able to take their art creation home.

The workshop is open to those aged 16-plus and it is $25 per person. Participants are asked to pre-register and pre-pay by calling the Nature Centre at 403-529-6225, or coming in person. The workshop will be hosted in the Nature Centre Theatre.
