Former Hatter housing cult leader and followers in Richmound facing criminal assault charge

Saskatchewan RCMP say that Ricky Manz, 59, was charged with assault on Oct. 11 following a report of an altercation between two men in Richmound on Oct. 7. Leader RCMP say there were no injuries from the altercation and Manz was charged without incident last week. Manz is the owner of the former school in Richmound where followers of “Queen Romana Didulo” are apparently living, creating a source of tension with the local community. The woman routinely tells her supporters she is the rightful ruler of Canada, that conventional medicine is harmful and that utility, tax and other bills should be ignored. Manz is due to appear in provincial court in Leader on Nov. 16. 7-6
