Delays expected at Sierra/Southridge intersection with road repairs beginning today

City construction crews will begin road repairs on Sierra Boulevard today.

While construction is ongoing, traffic along Sierra between Southridge Drive and Sunrise Gate will be restricted to one lane eastbound and one lane westbound.

The city recommends motorists take the anticipated delay into consideration at the Sierra and Southridge intersection and adjust commute times accordingly. To help reduce congestion in the area, signal timing at the intersection will be altered.

Motorists are asked to obey all signage and directions from flag personnel when on site.

While construction contractors are in the area, work will also begin to widen the existing Saamis Heights Emergency Access. Pedestrian use of the trail in the area will be affected during this time.
