Medicine Hat Curling Club hosting fundraising event Nov. 18

The Medicine Hat Curling Club has announced a fundraising event in November. The local club, which added centre to its name in place of club in September, announced Wednesday it will be hosting a fundraiser titled, Caring 4 Curling Fundraising Event on Nov. 18 at the MHCC. The event will include a silent auction, 50/50, steak supper and will feature two local bands who will be performing, The Fox and the Hounds and the Warehouse Cats. Tickets are $50 for the supper and concert, $20 for the concert only and $25 at the door. Those tickets go on sale later this week and will be available for pickup at the MHCC or Logo’s Embroidery during normal business hours. In July, Medicine Hat city council approved spending $870,000 to acquire the curling club’s building on Second Street in the North Flats after providing it with a no-interest loan in May. MHCC hasn’t been active on the ice since the 2021-22 season due to brine lines breaking. 6-5
