reporter@medicinehatnews.com Medicine Hat College is hosting its fall career expo Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the main campus in Centennial Hall and the B-wing. More than 45 employers from across Western Canada will be in attendance, talking to potential employees about their organization, current job opportunities available and their application process. It is recommended that candidates come with their most current resume as some employers will be conducting on-the-spot interviews. “Each year, we are excited to see the uptake of employers from several diverse industries at our career expo event. It is our pleasure to provide a venue to connect them with community members, as well as MHC students and alumni who are searching for employment,” says MHC student career services assistant Shelly Drefs. The current list of employers who will be at the expo can be viewed at mhc.ab.ca. Industries represented will include those from health care, business, trades, community services, security, financial, manufacturing and environmental sectors. Local employment supports agencies and educational services will also be at the event. The expo is open to anyone in the community. 7
