reporter@medicinehatnews.com A town hall at the Medicine Hat Public Library theatre tonight will give Hatters a chance to engage with local elected officials on a variety of community topics. Mayor Linnsie Clark and several councillors are expected to attend, with a focus on the Strong Towns initiative, as well arts, culture and recreation. “We are excited to host this event which will allow the mayor, councillors and the community to talk about our city and issues which are important to us all,” said chief librarian Ken Feser. MHPL wanted to focus on topics that are important to the library and library users, but haven’t been highlighted at recent town halls in the city. All members of the community are invited to attend. Questions may be submitted ahead of time at http://mhpl.info/chat-with-mayor, or submit questions to moderators at the event. Follow the library on social media @MHPublicLibrary, or visit mhpl.info for updates. The event will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. this evening. 8
