https://www.medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews Work to rehab a portion of the city’s Heritage Trail system near Ross Glen was set to begin Tuesday. The Ross Creek Coulee trail will be closed as a new culvert and asphalt are installed while users are diverted to sidewalks along a portion of Ross Glen Drive. City officials say the new culvert will reduce maintenance on the stretch. Work is expected to be complete in October. Bird delay Repair work on a bridge along the Saratoga Trail leg of the network has been delayed after a nest of protected migratory birds was discovered in late August, the city has revealed. Regulations require enough time for birds to fledge and leave the area, located about halfway between S. Railway Street at Scholten Hill and Kingsway Avenue. That could take two weeks, during which time construction is halted. The immediate area is closed to the public, and pedestrians are asked to use caution on the nearby path. 10
