Pancake breakfasts big part of Whoop-Up Days celebration

Whoop-Up Days means cotton candy, midway rides, rodeo and fun for the whole family. And part of the fun when the annual event kicks off today are the pancake breakfasts and charity barbecues being staged around the city.Following is a list of the events that we know about.
Tuesday:
Interfaith Food Bank, 1103 3 Ave. N. 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. $3 for adults, $2 for children. Kids three and under free.
Chinook Regional Hospital, 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the CRH South entrance, 960 19 St. S, Lethbridge. $3 per plate.
Downtown BRZ, Festival Square 7 until 9 a.m. Free.
King of Trade, 317 5 St. S. after the parade. Free.
Fresh Start Recovery Centre, 85049 Range Road 212, Whoop-Up Days barbecue, 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Free.
Mayor’s Community Barbecue, City Hall 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., free for the first 1,000 people.
Charity barbecue, Western Stockman parking lot, 915 43 St. S., 11 a.m .until 3 p.m. Donations go to Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association.
Wednesday:
Nord-bridge Seniors Centre, 1904 13 Ave. N. 8 – 11 a.m. $2 per person with live entertainment.
New West Truck Centres, 1001 41 St., N. 8 until 10 a.m. Donation to the Lethbridge Food Bank.
Dunlop Truck Centres and Vanee Farm Centre, 4110 9 Ave. N., 7:30 – 10:30 a.m., $2
Thursday:
Southland Trailers, 1405 41 St. N., 7-11 a.m. $2 with all proceeds going to the Therapeutic Riding Association. Featuring music by Tom Price Band.
United Way of Lethbridge, Sandman Hotel, 421 Mayor Magrath Drive South. 7 – 10 a.m. Free.
The Keg, 8th annual Whoop-Up Days BBQ, 1717 Mayor Magrath South, 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. $5 minimum donation to YMCA – Shape Your Future campaign
Friday:
Lethbridge College/University of Lethbridge, Casa, 230 8 St. S., 9 – 11 a.m. Free.
Big Brothers Big Sisters 138 22 St. N., 7-10 a.m. $2 per person or by donation.
Ikigomi youth volunteer group, Buddhist Temple of southern Alberta, 470 40 St.S., Japanese sweet bean style pancake breakfast 10-11:30 a.m., pay by donation.
Sunday:
Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 260 McGill Blvd West 8-10 a.m. Free. 2
