Two men charged following hotel robbery

https://www.medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews Two Medicine Hat men have been charged with robbery after one was arrested at a local hotel on August 15 and another picked up a few days later. Police responded to a disturbance at a hotel on Redcliff Drive at 5 a.m. on Aug. 15 where officers say they observed a robbery taking place. Jeffrey Jefferies, 26, was arrested and later charged with robbery, wearing a mask while committing an offence, mischief and possession of a controlled substance, break-in tools and a stolen credit card. The Medicine Hat Police Services’ investigation section they took over the file and charged Joshua Buffalo-Calf McConnell, 37, with similar offences as well as unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon and stolen property valued under $5,000. Both are in custody with next court date pending. 7-6
