The Lethbridge Kodiaks have added some Medicine Hat talent ahead of the fall season.
The Kodiaks announced Tuesday the signing of Medicine Hat goaltender Keyarah Tofin, who has played for the Medicine Hat Soccer Association, Lethbridge Football Club and the Alberta Major Soccer League, the highest level of amateur soccer in Alberta.
“We’re happy to have Keyarah on,” said Kodiaks women’s soccer head coach Sean Carey in a release. “She has been playing at a high level over at AMSL and has been looking to join Lethbridge College for a while now.”
Tofin graduated from Crescent Heights High School and is planning on studying in the Business Administration – Accounting program at the college.
She says there were many factors that helped her choose to sign with the Kodiaks, including “the strong mindset, competitiveness and support system given by coaches and teammates.”
Tofin added that she is looking forward to being part of a team that is truly connected.
“I’m outgoing and a social person,” says Tofin. “I’ll be able to keep spirits high on and off the field.”
Tofin and the Kodiaks will face off against the Medicine Hat College Rattlers on Sept. 24 at MHC.
