Smoke likely to linger through Sunday, but temperatures should stay below 30

Temperatures should stay below the 30C mark in Medicine Hat over the long weekend, but smoke will likely linger into Sunday.

Forecasts call for a mix of sun and clouds for the duration of the three-day weekend, with highs of 26C on Saturday, 27C Sunday and 29C Monday, with lows of 13C, 14C and 16C, respectively.

Light to moderate smoke should stay in the air through Saturday, with a possible pocket of relief on Sunday.

As of Friday afternoon, there were 103 active wildfires across Alberta, and 357 active wildfires in British Columbia.
