Mounties are looking for a southern Alberta man they believe is connected to the sex assault of a six-year-old girl in Taber about 33 years ago.
A release states that in the summer of 1990, the girl was taken from near her home by a man and assaulted in a vehicle that was driven by a man named Ian.
Police believe the individual lived in Taber at the time, but may have also resided in Lethbridge. The individual drove a motorcycle and had access to a light blue or grey, four-door, 1980s model sedan.
He had a skinny build, stood about 5-foot-10 and had a brown ‘mullet-style’ haircut.
He was in his early 20s at the time, placing him in mid-50s today, and was a smoker with heavily stained crooked teeth.
Anyone with information should contact the Taber/Vauxhall RCMP detachment at 403-223-4447, or Crimestoppers (1-800-222-8477) to remain anonymous.
