WASHINGTON – The conservative majority on the U.S. Supreme Court is ending its latest term with a fierce flurry of attacks on liberal values.

The court has ruled in favour of a Christian graphic artist in Colorado who doesn’t want to create wedding websites for same-sex couples.

It also struck down President Joe Biden’s $400-billion plan to forgive student debt for an estimated 43 million people.

The decisions come on the heels of Thursday’s seismic ruling that all but forbids U.S. colleges and universities from using racial and ethnic preferences in student admissions.

Critics say the rulings, which came with dissents that featured stark, combative language, demonstrate how politicized the high court has become.

The White House is expected to detail later today how it plans to respond to the loan forgiveness decision.
