The league announced the preseason will start Tuesday, Sept. 5 and conclude Sunday, Sept. 17. The Medicine Hat Tigers kick off the league’s preseason, as they’ll travel down Highway 3 on Sept. 5 to take on the Lethbridge Hurricanes at the Enmax Centre. The rivalry returns to Medicine Hat and Co-op Place for a rematch on Saturday, Sept. 9. The Tigers wrap up their preseason with a two-game set against the Swift Current Broncos, which starts Friday, Sept. 15 at Co-op Place. Their final game before the regular season will be in Swift Current at the Innovation Credit Union iPlex on Saturday, Sept. 16. Medicine Hat’s home opener is slated for Saturday, Sept. 23, when they’ll host the Calgary Hitmen. The Tigers open their season the day prior, travelling to Calgary and the Saddledome on Friday, Sept. 22. The WHL is slated to release the entirety of its 2023-24 regular season schedule today. Medicine Hat is set to travel to the B.C. division for the first time since the 2019-20 season and will host the U.S. division – including the league’s newest franchise, the Wenatchee Wild – for the first time since the same season. 8
