Several family moves happened over the years which meant Lorraine worked as a Registered Nurse in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta. She was also a wonderful homemaker and mother of four. With flair, Lorraine created a warm welcoming home and garden wherever the family landed. Family was a priority for Lorraine. It was her nature to put others before herself. She was a wonderful listener, quick to laugh and put others at ease. She was caring, compassionate, generous, enthusiastic and loving of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a phenomenal supporter of her children and grandchildrens numerous activities. A wonderful daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.
Lorraine was a curious lifelong learner. An avid reader, gardener, musician, homemaker, seamstress, crafter, puzzle enthusiast, and lover of a hot cup of tea. After a courageous twelve year journey with Parkinson’s Disease, Gordon Mark Bolender victoriously entered the presence of Jesus on Friday, May 19, 2023. He leaves to cherish his memory his high school sweetheart and loving wife Karen to whom he was married for 51 years, and his beloved son Jesse Mark Bolender of Medicine Hat, of whom he was very proud.
