Southeast Albertans are invited to a celebration of community this weekend during Redcliff Days.

Held annually, Redcliff Days is one of the town’s largest events boasting fun for the whole family.

“It draws a lot of people to town,” Mayor Dwight Kilpatrick told the News. “There’s a bunch of different activities both at Lions Park and Memorial Park, and then there’s a lot of the merchants with their stuff out on the sidewalks, weather permitting. So, it just makes for a busy weekend.

“This year, we are closing Broadway Avenue, which we’ve never done before … We’re hoping that this way we can get some food vendors out on Broadway and … that it’ll give a little more space for some of the merchants.”

Kilpatrick hopes to see many people out at the weekend celebration, which begins Friday morning and runs until Saturday afternoon.
