CP NewsAlert: Newfoundland police issue Amber Alert for missing 14-year-old girl

ST. JOHN’S, N.L. – Police in Newfoundland and Labrador have issued an Amber Alert for a 14-year-old girl who has been missing since last week. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says Melissa Morrell has been abducted. The force says it believes she knows her abductor, but the suspect is not known to police. Morrell is described as being five feet tall, with a medium build, light brown hair and brown eyes. A release issued Saturday said she was last seen in St. John’s, N.L., wearing a plaid button shirt and grey pants. More coming. 7-6
