The 15-year-old Medicine Hat Tigers prospect was named the Canadian Sport School Hockey League’s most valuable player for the U18 league. The honour was McKenna’s to lose after his strong season with the Dunmore-based South Alberta Hockey Academy. Mckenna had 37 goals and 75 points in 26 games, leading the CSSHL in scoring by nine points in four fewer games than the second-place scorer. The Whitehorse, Yuk. product had four goals and five points in three SAHA playoff games. He suited up for 16 WHL games this season, with four goals and 18 points playing for the Tigers. He had one goal in their four-game first-round playoff series against the Winnipeg Ice. 6
